Armenia Digital Nomad Residence Permit 2026

Armenia does not officially label its program a 'digital nomad visa,' but its residence permit for remote workers is widely used by freelancers, IT professionals, and online entrepreneurs. There is no fixed minimum income requirement – you simply need to register as a sole proprietor (private entrepreneur) in Armenia. The residence permit is valid for 1 year and can be renewed. The tax system is highly attractive: sole proprietors pay a flat 5% turnover tax on gross revenue, capped at AMD 115 million per year. Armenia offers a unique blend of ancient culture, modern Yerevan with excellent internet and co‑working spaces, and a cost of living that is dramatically lower than Western Europe. The application is straightforward, and you can apply at an Armenian embassy or within Armenia.
